Activity 6.2 : Visit to the school for children of Myanmar refugees in India

Age Group : 14 to 15 (Class IX)

Countries Studied : Myanmar

Brief Description : All students of class IX visited the Shalom Free School, Chanakya Place near Janakpuri. They interacted and exchanged views on food, habits, festivals/ customs and traditions.

Objectives :

� Students were sensitized to the needs of the refugee children.
� Students learnt team work.
� Students developed advocacy skills for making their voices heard for a just cause.
