Miss India Koyal Rana... she came, we saw, she conquered...

St Thomas' School, Mandir Marg, welcomed its very own Koyal Rana, for a felicitation ceremony in a manner, befitting a true queen! From a welcome band to a 'Palki' for the beauty queen, the staff and students went all out to make Koyal feel special. Once inside, Koyal received the STS special achievers' clap from the excited audience. The day's events included a witty chat show-like interaction session called 'Green Tea with Koyal', dance performances by the students and a medley by the school choir. Koyal's sister, Sonakshi, who is a student at the school currently, spoke about her sister, and made videos of the rest of the event. The principal, Mrs. Anuradha Amos, said, "In the past, we've had scientists, engineers, DU college principals coming out of our school. But Koyal is our first beauty queen." She crowned Koyal at the event, after which Koyal said, "This is the third time Principal Ma'am is putting a crown on me and I hope that I come back to my school after the next crown and she can do this again. I just can't thank each of you enough and this is the first time the feeling of becoming the Miss India has finally sunk in." Our wishes and prayers are with Koyal to conquer the world....
