St. Thomas' School celebrated its Annual Day with great joy and enthusiasm.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome extended by the Chairman, the Rt. Rev. Dr. Paul Swarup, and Principal Dr. A. Amos to the Chief Guest
Ms. Veditha Reddy, IAS, Director of Education, Govt. of NCT of Delhi. This year marks a significant milestone in the school's glorious history as
it celebrated 95 years of excellence in education and service to the community.
The Principal Dr. A. Amos in her report took immense pride in announcing that the school has been ranked the 2nd Best Girls Day School in Delhi/NCR,
and among the top 10 in India.
What began as a dream in the heart of the founder Ms. Helen Jerwood has taken shape and the school continues to nurture that vision, to educate and
foster the girl child. This was beautifully depicted by "Ujawala Agrasar" a colourful pageant reflecting the school as an arena for creating history,
nurturing generations of women, promoting resilience, courage and empathy.
The Chief Guest Ms. Veditha Reddy, appreciated the commendable efforts of the school and in her address urged the students never to stop believing
in themselves and to keep dreaming big. She further emphasized that irrespective of the generation and the technological advancement, teachers can
never be replaced. While acknowledging the age of Artificial Intelligence, she highlighted the importance of the human touch and the changing role
of teachers as facilitators.
The Chairperson, Rt. Rev. Dr. Paul Swarup, in his address, inspired the students to follow Christ's wisdom and urged them not only to receive the light,
but to become bearers of it for others, by selflessly working for the community, reminding them that true success lies not merely in marks, but service
and compassion. |
