ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATIONS IN ST. THOMAS'
 
St. Thomas’ celebrated its Annual Day for the Junior school on Friday 22 November 2013 with Dr. Biswajeet Saha, Additional Director, Vocational Stream CBSE, Delhi as the esteemed Chief Guest. After a soul stirring, special number by the Junior choir, the audience was transported into an imaginary joy ride, in a train, which took them through a fascinating and thrilling journey, through the lanes and by lanes of India, through a dance item ‘Bharat Sampark Kranti Express’. The School Principal, Mrs. A. Amos presented the Annual Report – ‘Communique 2013’. The Chief Guest Dr. Biswajeet Saha greeted the audience and affirmed the importance of our Annual Day celebrations. He emphasized that education plays a crucial role in shaping a child’s behavioural patterns. He stressed the importance of vocational training. It helps in developing their talents and capacities, for the development of society and one’s own self. He suggested that the core curriculum should include vocational courses in varying combinations with academic subjects.
The grand finale was the dance drama ‘Adwitiya Rachna’- a tribute to women – the most precious beings of society.

The Annual Day Celebration for the Senior school was held on 23 November in the Helen Jerwood hall with Mr. P.I. Sabu Regional Director, Delhi CBSE as the distinguished Chief Guest and Rt. Rev. Sunil Singh, Bishop of Delhi and Chairman of the school presided over the function. The Chief Guest witnessed the exhibition set up in the school, where students showcased their innovative ideas and creative quotient. The school is the proud recipient of the prestigious ISA Award for the year 2013-2016. Teachers appointed as team leaders, who were instrumental in the school receiving the award were felicitated and appreciated for their commendable efforts. The School Principal, Mrs. A. Amos presented the Annual Report – ‘Communique 2013’. The Chief Guest Mr. P.I. Sabu proclaimed that parents and teachers form an important part of the support system and play a pivotal role in the academic, social, emotional and physical development of the children. He further stated that parents are the most influential people in a child’s life. He urged the students to pursue creative talents and excellence.
